Breeds & disciplines
Are there dressage, barrel racing, western riding, or other horse breeds? What is and is not in the game.
Horses of Hoofprint Bay features show jumping, cross country, and the Caprilli test. The developers have confirmed that western riding will not be added and that other horse breeds are not planned. Dressage and barrel racing are not in the game.
What you can compete in#
The official store and publisher name show jumping and cross country. Caprilli, a test of gait transitions over low obstacles, is another competition type, and community members list it among the features that are new compared with older horse games.
Western riding: no#
Asked about western riding, the developer answered that it will not be added, and that the game features show jumping and cross country.
Dressage and barrel racing: not planned#
The developer FAQ says other disciplines are not planned. Players add that the side-scrolling view and hand-drawn gaits make dressage figures or barrel patterns hard to show.
Other breeds: not planned#
The developer has said other breeds are not planned. You can still change the color palette to make your horses look like different breeds.
